The balanced one: Souvignier gris from the small Silberberger oak barrel, matured for 12 months. It has a balanced Burgundy flavour with notes of exotic fruit in the nose. Supported by fine roast aromas, the notes of fruit become more intense on the palate. A harmonious dance of subtle acidity and a juicy, fresh body make it go down very pleasantly. Organic white wine from Zotter’s own “Vulcano country” vineyards as well as the new organic Biotopia vineyards, where wine is grown in the shade of fruit trees under a mixed crop system.
Souvignier gris is a new type of wine created by crossing the Cabernet Sauvignon and Bronner varieties. In Austria, it’s grown primarily in the southern province of Styria.
